Accommodations

We’ve put together a curated guide from us locals of best places to stay, eat, hike, and enjoy northwest tourism.

The curated guide is your best bet for places to stay that are close to the festivities. Beyond these accommodations, Sedro-Woolley is 45 miles down lovely Highway 20; Mount Vernon is 52 miles, and Bellingham is 67 miles. If you find a great place to stay beyond the curated guide, let us know!

Parking

We figured out where to put around 60 cars! One of our elves will direct you to parking among our gracious neighbors from about 3-4 pm, or whenever neighbor driveways fill up. No one will be blocked in, so you can escape when needed. There is room for 25 more cars along a fence on Foxglove Lane after that. We’ll have signs. All are a short walk. The party will be going late, so please bring a flashlight or use your cell phone to get back to your car. We’ll have a basket of flashlights available if you forget.

Life in the Country

We live in the country! Along with incredible beauty, here are some hints we’d like to offer.

  • If you wear high heels, you will be aerating the soil (and not getting very far).
  • It’s all outdoors. It rarely rains in mid July, and we haven’t had mosquitoes in three years. Lots of things are under cover, but most of the 25 acres is not. You may want to come prepared; check the weather forecast. Occasionally it gets into the 90’s, though it’s not humid when that happens.
  • As soon as the sun sets, things cool off quickly, so bring a sweater.
  • We have great star-gazing, and the moon won’t rise until 11:30pm that night. We have flashlights available for everyone, and we’ll have some fun with them, too.
  • It’s a beautiful time of year here. We have trails to the Skagit River, and we live just outside North Cascades National Park. Bring comfortable shoes and explore when you have time. Check out the curated guide.
